Various Advances for Central Govt Employees

*  Festival Advance : 

                 Amount of Rs 3000/- to be recovered in 10 monthly instalments. Can be sanctioned once in a financial year. Maximum grade limit 4800/- PM. It may be granted to any one of the festival irrespective of the community to which it belongs:

(i)                  Payments will be effected 21 days prior to the festival

(ii)                Will be eligible for one festival during one financial year

  

            Natural Calamity: 

                           Rs 5000/- to be recovered in 25 installments and to commence from 2^nd issue of Pay after drawal of advance. The advance can be granted only to non-Gazetted officers when movable/immovable property has been damaged in an area declared by state/ central Government and the state Govt. Concerned also issued orders sanctioning financial assistance to their own employees

              Cycle Advance : 

                     Admissible upto grade pay not exceeding RS.2800 pm. Amount Rs.3000/- to be recovered in not more than 30 instalments. Second Advance not ordinarily be granted . Priority will be given to those who have not availed the advance in the last five years. Interest free

              Motor Cycle/ Scooter Advance

                    Eligiblity:  Employees drawing pay in the pay band of 8560 pm or more are 

                   eligible. The  condition can be relaxed by sanctioning authority in deserving 

                   cases. Repayment should be made within 70 equal instalments

     

                   Amount of Advance

(1)    On first Occasion Rs. 30000 or 4 months pay in the pay band or anticipated price of motor cycle/scooter/moped, whichever is least. However Rs 20000 or anticipated price of moped , whichever is less, may be granted as advance for moped

(2)    On second and subsequent occasion Rs 24000 or 3 months pay in pay band or anticipated price of motor cycle/scooter/moped, whichever is the least

          Personal Computer Advance

                  Eligibility:

                        Employees drawing  pay in the pay band of Rs 19530 pm or more are eligible

       

                       Amount of Advance

(i)                  On first occasion-  Rs 80000 or anticipated price of computer (excluding customs duty) whichever is less

(ii)                On Second / Subsequent Ocassion:- Rs 75000 or anticipated price of computer (excluding customs duty),whichever is less

However Rs 30000 or anticipated price (excluding custom duty if any) may be granted for employees whose in the pay band (i.e band pay) is not less than Rs.8560 and who are not eligible for motor car advance. Recovery should be made in not more than 150 monthly instalment

Warm Clothing Advance

 All employees posted in hill stations situated a height of 1000meters for one year or more are eligible. Amount of Advance is Rs 3000/- maximum . Interest free advance. It will be recovered in maximum of ten equal monthly instalments. Second end subsequent may be granted only after three years from the grant of earlier advance

·         No interest is charged on any outstanding balance of an interest advance beyond date of death.
